#105 Christel De Klerk | IFBB Bikini Pro | the pro debut, moved to Dubai? and of course, whats next?

Imagine this: in 2021 you step on stage for the first time ever in the bikini division. And then in November 2023 you win Moes Muscles bikini overall. Competing in this regional show qualified you for the 2024 NZIFBB Nationals. So you don't compete again until Nationals (Nov 2024) - and BAM, Pro card achieved. Again, you don't compete again for a FULL year. And in November 2025, you compete in your Pro debut on home soil and place 9th. Amongst friends on the stage and family in the crowd. That was Christel De Klerks journey. An amazing human and another great episode. Our 3rd together. It was in the works for awhile! But we did it - IFBB Bikini Pro and Posing Coach, Emily Sullivan! We went through a wide range of topics together in this episode. Such as the usuals of course: Emilys journey into bodybuilding, going Pro, Pro debut plans, current training and nutrition, posing, etc. And then a deeper topic that is something we'll be addressing more often on this podcast - women feeling unsafe or uncomfortable in the gym - or anywhere. I've created a project called @defendhernz (see more info below) and Emily was kind and brave enough to dive into a very recent, real and raw experience she has faced around this very topic!
